Ultrasonic Degreasing Equipment from Pero
Is there more to ultrasonic degreasing equipment?
Ultrasonic cleaning is an essential part of the precision cleaning process. However there are more uses for ultrasonic degreasing equipment than is widely known. With over 50 years of expereince, Pero has developed a number of cleaning strategies to cope with the most difficult cleaning processes. Factors such as contamination, polarity and cycle time all impact the need for ultrasonic degreasing equipment.
Uses for Ultrasonic Degreasing Equipment
Ultrasonic cleaning has two primary uses:
- The first, which is the most widely understood, is the removal of stubborn particulates or compounds which need a more aggressive approach in order to remove them successfully.
- The second approached is in difficult to clean time-sensitive applications. If time were not a driving factor then very oily parts with lots of capillaries or enclosed volumes would not require ultrasonic degreasing equipment. However, the introduction of time limits changes the programming used. With Pero machines’ flexible programming, ultrasonic degreasing equipment speeds up the process of mixing oil and solvent. This means that the whole cleaning process can be shortened and cleaning results are greatly improved.
Applications for Ultrasonic Degreasing Equipment
- Removal of polishing compounds
- The break up and cleaning of lapping pastes
- Flushing of swarf from difficult to access areas
- Mixing of oils and other soluble contamination
Ultrasonic degreasing equipment from Pero has been developed using high quality, reliable components. The standard frequency is 25 KHz supplied by two rods positioned horisontally in the work chamber to give the highest level ultrasonic degreasing equipment available. Other frequencies are available on request and subject to the application.
Designed with a minimal operational footprint the Pero R1 ultrasonic degreasing equipment has the equivalent cleaning capacity of machines that are 50 per cent larger. A basket size of 530 x 320 x 200 mm (other sizes are available), able to hold up to 80 kg of parts, results in an efficient cleaning process which provides an impressive return on investment. With a maximum throughput of up to 20 baskets per hour the R1 has made slow ultrasonic degreasing equipment or cheap unreliable systems using dry-cleaning technology a thing of the past.
It is also the most energy efficient vapour degreasing equipment currently available, consuming just 1.15 kW per load or 0.03 kW/litre of washed component. It is eco-friendly with minimal solvent usage, as little as 20 kg per year, and features low installation and running costs.
