Trichloroethylene TCE & its future use in the aerospace industry
We will focus on the use of Trichloroethylene TCE for component cleaning in the aerospace supply chain at our aerospace industry focused event, held at our facilities in Nuneaton on the 21 and 22 March 2012.
NEU-TRI E (Trichloroethylene TCE) is still one of the most popular solvents used by many aerospace primes and the tiered supply chains. However, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of CHemicals) has placed Trichloroethylene TCE under some pressure and more recently it has been proposed to be added Annex 14. This has raised further concerns about the future use of this popular solvent in the industry. Not in the aerospace industry?
Visitors to the Kumi Solutions event will gain a clear understanding of REACH in relation to Trichloroethylene TCE
By visiting you will find out how Annex 14 will impact on the use of this capable solvent. You will also learn how the Pero equipment used by aerospace companies will enable the supply chain to continue using Trichloroethylene or change to any other aerospace approved cleaning products in the future.
Find out about COMPLEASE™ Chemical Leasing which combines the full SAFECHEM surface cleaning solution for a fixed monthly leasing fee. It supports customer efforts regarding high quality cleaning results and environmental responsibility. Along with it, DOWPER™ MC and DOWCLENE 1601 the Rolls-Royce approved alternatives to Trichloroethylene TCE will be explained
The aerospace industry has to meet its obligations to fulfill its customer demands, and we know good decisions are based on sound facts. Kumi Solutions, along with our cleaning chemistry partner, SAFECHEM™, will ensure that the supply chain is properly informed regarding the realities of the current legislative situation of Trichloroethylene TCE.
As a visitor you will receive a guest pack, which will include any relevant information given out during the event. And, following the event you will be kept informed of any changes or additional ‘statements’ issued by the authorities, SAFECHEM or any other recognised institution directly involved in the future use of Trichloroethylene TCE.
